What is Truck Freight?
Truck Freight applies to all items too large for UPS, FedEx, or the Post Office to handle. Truck Freight items are noted by a special Ships Truck Freight icon on our website next to the product. These items may be assessed extra shipping charges due to their size.
Most Truck Freight items have two standardized shipping rates, one rate to the terminal, another to your curb. Items delivered to a residential location, may incur additional residentail charges depending on the trucking cpmpany. For more details, see the FREE Shipping policy.
Most of our trucking carriers offer shipping to a business or residential location. If it is going to a residential location, this is considered curb side. If an item(s) is delivered via Curb Side delivery, then it is the responsibility of the customer (you) who is recieving the item(s) to have the means to unload the item(s). i.e. fork lift, loading dock, or lift gate. The customer is responnsible for any residential or lift gate fees. See LIFT GATE policy for all additional details.
If your order includes more than one Truck Freight item, the items may be shipped from multiple sites resulting in multiple shipping charges. Actual shipping charges are determined when the items are shipped and could be greater than the minimum estimated amount. Unless all items are on back order, the minimum estimated shipping charge will be billed at the time the order is placed and displayed on your order acknowledgement. If there are any additional fees above the amount shown on your order acknowledgement, a Customer Service representative will contact you prior to shipping.
Usually, the shipping carrier will call the phone number we have on file to arrange the delivery day and time. You must be present to receive and sign for the shipment. The customer (you) is responsible for any re-delivery attempts that are not pre-aranged. DO NOT sign for any package that shows damage to the outside carton. Have the driver note the damage on the bill of lading, do not sign it, and refuse the package. Transit times vary for truck shipments due to dispatching and scheduling. After the order has shipped, you can call us at 1-866-737-2664 to obtain the Pro number for the shipment. This will allow you to track the order online on the carrier's website.
